Summer Conditioning
Lobos Summer Conditioning will begin the week of July 6 and run for 3 weeks.  Each team will be assigned to a group that will have 2 45-minute sessions per week.  All sessions will take place at Suggs Park in Collierville.  Click here for the schedule.


LOBOS Camp & Picnic News
The LOBOS Summer Camp will take place July 27 - 31.  Location is yet to be determined, but will be at one of the Collierville Parks.  Paul always gets a talented slate of coaches for the camp, so make sure you're there!  (And besides, it's FREE for LOBOS players!!)  The Juniors (02's & 01's), 00's, and 99's will attend the morning session from 8am - 11am.  All other age groups will attend the evening session from 5pm - 8pm.  Though it is free to LOBOS players, you need to sign up to attend.  Sign up on-line by clicking this link: LOBOS Camp sign-up.
Also, the annual Cougars / LOBOS Picnic will take place Saturday, Aug. 1 at Johnson Park.  Details are coming!

92 Lady LOBOS ROCK! Congratulations to the 92 Lady LOBOS. They are the ONLY girls' team from West TN to earn the right to represent Tennessee in the Region 3 Southern Regional Championships, held in Dallas, TX June 19-23. Good luck, girls!


LOBOS Coaching Update  Director of Coaching Paul Furlong is excited to announce the addition of Richie Grant to the Lobos Coaching Staff.  Grant is the head coach of the University of Memphis Men's Soccer team.  As a part of our staff, he will initially focus on team and coach development within our boys' program.  For more information, read this announcement by Paul which also details the Lobos' strong relationship with college soccer coaching.


Olivia Harrison - US ODP member in Costa Rica! 94 Lady Lobo, Olivia Harrison, was selected to represent the US as a member of the U-14 US Youth Soccer ODP team that participated in the Torneo Femino Internacional Tournament in San Jose, Costa Rica. This tournament was March 27 - April 4.  Read more about this event in CSA's press release. Congrats, Olivia!


Congratulations to our college-bound Lady LOBOS: CHS seniors Bethany Roberson (GK) and Megan Whitten (defender) will sign with Mississippi College.  CHS senior Emily Rothwell (defender) will sign with Bowling Green Univ.   CHS senior Kendyl Wilson (defender) will sign with Univ. of TN - Martin.  Briarcrest senior Kelsey LaBarreare, St. Agnes senior Carleigh Stratton, St. Benedict's Jennifer Hale, and GHS senior Lauren Froelich (forward) will sign with Christian Brothers Univ.  Harding senior Jennee Kimball (midfield) signed with Tennessee Tech.  Houston High seniors Sara Oeding (defender) will play for Austin Peay and Lauren Crowder is signing with Western Kentucky University.  Congratulations!  We are proud of all of you and wish you each the best of luck!

Brooks Monaghan joins Coaching Staff! Coach Monaghan is the Head Women's Coach for the University of Memphis. He heads up our goalkeeping training in conjunction with Coach Dave Thompson, and he will help to develop our D1 Girls' Program. Welcome, Coach Monaghan!

Congrats to Elisabeth Sullivan! Congratulations to new 92 Lady LOBOS player, Elisabeth Sullivan, 2008-2009 Pepsi Best of the Preps Girls' Soccer.  Elisabeth scored 26 goals and had 14 assists in leading the Briarcrest Saints to the D2 AA Championship match.  All five finalists were LOBOS.


LOBOS players selected for Best of the Preps!:  Nineteen Lady LOBOS were selected for the Commercial Appeal's "2008 Best of the Preps."  All five Finalists were also LOBOS players.  For the D1- Public schools, Lady LOBOS players include Lauren Froelich ('91), Olivia Harrison ('94), Gracie Irby ('94), Steffi King ('91), Taylor Morgan ('93), Ali Pleiman ('90), Alexis Pugh ('92), Emily Rothwell ('91), Alex Stradford ('94), Allison Tutt ('91), and Kendyl Wilson ('91).  For the D2 - Private schools, Lady LOBOS players include Adeline Brown ('91), Bethany Bunker ('94), Jene'e Kimball ('91), Whitney Kramer ('91), Rebecca Nauman ('91), Abi Sanvee ('92), Elisabeth Sullivan ('92), and Kelsey Wilson ('91).  Way to go, girls!  To see the article, click here.  LOBOS players also earned more TN Sportswriters and TN Coaches Association "All-State" honors than all other local clubs combined!


Tennessee ODP teams: Jeremy Albright ('97), Peter Wagner('97), Parker Martin ('96), Michael Gary ('96), Michael Gray ('96), Michael Jacobs ('96), and Stephen Cunnane ('96) all made the boys '96 TN ODP. Paul Langford ('95) made the '95 TN ODP team and Chase Chasteen ('95) was selected for the '94 TN ODP team.  In addition, Stephen Cunnane was one of the 18 players selected to represent Tennessee at the Texas Friendlies in February.  On the Girl's side, Mallory Ashmore (96 Lady LOBOS) and Kylie Huey (97 Lady LOBOS) made the '96 girls TN ODP team.  Hunter Bogits, McKenzie Bricker, Brittany Correia, Gretchen Harknett, Kelsey Heintz, Hannah Reeder, Anna Smith, and Brooke Veneklase (all of the 95 Lady LOBOS) as well as McKenzie Parma ('94) made the 95 TN ODP team.  Allie Cumings, Olivia Harrison, Honeye Heydari, Gracie Irby, Shelby Jordon, and Alex Stradford (of the 94 Lady LOBOS) were selected for the 94 TN ODP team.  Alex Bickenbach, Suzanne Capocaccia, and Clare Latham (also of the 94 Lady LOBOS) and Chelsea Rial ('93) made the 93 TN ODP team.  Taylor Simms ('93) as well as Caroline Capocaccia and Alexis Pugh, both of the 92 Lady LOBOS, made the 92 TN ODP team.  Congratulations to all the players on their accomplishments!

Lyndsie will help guide LOBOS and Cougars players who are interested in college level soccer through the process of obtaining a position in a collegiate level soccer program.
