ANNE DERANIAN
Coach Anne hails from Dublin, Ireland and holds a USSF National D License and an E License in Ireland. She played college soccer with the Irish University team Colaiste Ide as a defender. She graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in Business Adminstration. Anne has played club soccer in Ireland since she was 8 and brings a wealth of experience to CSA. Anne is Cougars Co-ordinator and can be reached at annederanian@colsoc.com

KEITH POTTS
Coach Keith has been coaching for CSA for 3 years. Orginally from England, he brings a breadth of experience to the club. Keith holds a USSF E license. He coaches the 94 and 95 Cougars.

SHERRI SPRAGGINS
Sherri holds a USSF D license. She coaches the 96 Lady Cougars and is assistant coach for the 99 Lady Cougars.

JOE YARBOROUGH
Coach Joe grew up playing competitive soccer in St. Louis. He was captain of his high school team at Lutheran High South and selected first team All-Conference in the ABC league. He has coached both competitive and rec within the Collierville Soccer Association for the last six years. Coach Joe holds a USSF D license. He coaches the 96 Cougars.

RUSS CHRISTY
Russ is head coach for the 97 Cougars. He has long been a rec soccer coach for the Collierville Soccer Association and holds a USSF D License.

JOHN DERANIAN
Coach John holds a USSF National D License. He has coached competitive and recreational soccer for 8 years and is now coaching the Lady Cougars 95 team. He has been associated with the Collierville Association for many years. He is also the CSA site webmaster/sysadm/dba.

TOM MESSERLY
Tom Messerly is new to Cougars this season. He is Head Coach for the 97 Lady Cougars. Tom has coached for several years for CSA Recreational soccer.

CHARLIE BRYAN
Charlie Bryan is new to Cougars this season. He is Assistant Coach for the 97 Lady Cougars.

KEITH TRASTER
Keith Traster is new to Cougars this season. He played high school soccer as well as club soccer for 10 years growing up. He is the head coach for 98 Cougars. Coach Keith holds a USSF E license.

JOSE PASTRAN
Coach Jose is new to the Cougars this season but he brings a wealth of experience. He played semi-pro in California and also played for the Premier league in Memphis. He's coached rec soccer for 4 years in Germantown and Collierville and holds a USSF E License. Coach Jose is head coach for the 99 Lady Cougars.

CLAY MERCHES
Coach Clay is new to Cougars this season. He grew up in Iowa and played competitive soccer since 4th grade. He was named as a first team defender in the state of Iowa while playing soccer in high school and was offered scholarships to play for UNC and York College. Coach Clay holds a USSF D License and is head coach for the 99 Cougars.

JASON CHESEK
Coach Jason started playing soccer when he was 5 years old with the Chicago YMCA. From there he played competitive soccer with the Wauconda Chiefs (a German Club that was based out of the northwest suburbs of Chicago), as a striker for Carmel High School, an Illinois division one state finalist team, and after high school continued to play as a striker for the Wauconda Chiefs on their semi professional team. In the late 90's he was recruited and played striker for the corporate sponsored "Sports Authority" premier team (in the Gold Coast Florida league). He has coached both rec and competitive soccer for CSA for two years and holds a USSF D license". Coach Jason is assistant coach for the 96 Lady Cougars.

SONNY BEYER
Coach Sonny holds the NSCAA National Diploma and USSF National D License. He played "A" Division soccer in Germany with clubs TuS Munchweiler and ASV Sembach when he lived overseas in the early 1980s.  At the same time he played varsity soccer for Sembach Air Base in the Air Forces-Europe and was selected All-Air Forces Europe in 1982.  He played NCAA soccer for the University of Delaware from 1982-1984 and was named Delaware State Senior Select Goalkeeper for 1985. He again played in Air Forces Europe as goalkeeper for Zweibrucken Air Base in 1987 - the team won the Air Forces-Europe championship and Sonny was selected tournament goalkeeper.  When a severe knee injury cut short his playing years, he coached recreational and competitive teams in the Waldorf Soccer Association in Maryland before coming to Collierville. He coached the 93 Lady Cougars and the 91 Lady Cougars in the last three years while overseeing aspects of the Cougars program. 

The Cougars program continues to grow because of our volunteer coaches. We are always looking for more volunteers. It's a great program.
