LOBOS RUSH - Latest News  
A record four of the five LOBOS RUSH teams that qualified for the prestigious 2016 USYS Southern Regionals (June 24-30th at the MeSA Soccer Complex in Greenville, SC) advanced to the Quarterfinals to be played on Mon., June 27th. The 98 Lady LOBOS RUSH Premier (U18G) & 03 Lady LOBOS RUSH Premier (U13G) both won their groups and advance as top seeds. The 99 LOBOS RUSH Premier (U17B) & 00 LOBOS RUSH Premier (U16B) will advance after placing 2nd in group. The 02 LOBOS RUSH Premier (U14B) played well but didn't advance to the playoffs. The Memphis LOBOS beat the Chattanooga FC 2-0 on June 25th. The team has a record of 6-1 and is waiting to learn when their final game is to be rescheduled. The team is currently in 2nd place in the seven team Southeast conference. Only the top team advances to the playoffs. Collierville Soccer has fielded a national women's soccer team, called the Memphis LOBOS, that participate in the Womens Premier Soccer League (WPSL). The WPSL is the largest women's soccer league in the world with over 100 teams in the US, Puerto Rico & Mexico. The league is the 2nd level of women's soccer in the US soccer pyramid, below the NWSL. It is an independent, highly competitive national summer league whose focus is the development of high level female soccer players. WPSL teams roster college, post-college and elite HS players. This year CSA is offering two distinct weeks of soccer camp fun and education and both camps are open to ALL players regardless of their Club affiliation. Week 1 (July 18-22nd) is aimed at recreational and young competitive players looking to have a fun week of instruction and games. High energy coaches from around the area will make sure the kids have a blast while learning & perfecting new skills. Week 1 takes place at Suggs Park at 163 E South St. in Collierville, TN. Week 2 Advanced Training Camp (July 25-29th) is aimed at competitive level players wanting a week of high level instruction to prepare themselves for the fall season. Club & College coaches from across the region will be brought into town to run this intense week of training. Last year, over 500 players attend the Advanced Training Camp! U8's, 9's, 10's & 11's will go in the morning from 8-11am. U12's, 13's & 14's will go in the evening from 5:30 - 8:30pm. LOBOS RUSH will conduct its annual membership meeting and officer elections on Monday, July 18th 2016 at 7pm in the Conference Room at the Collierville Community Center at 440 Powell Rd. LOBOS RUSH Tryouts have concluded but some teams still have some openings. For the 2016-17, all teams will be formed by calendar birth year as required by USSF, TSSA & US Club Soccer. LOBOS RUSH teams earned two State Championships, finished with three State Finalists and had another team take third place in the 2016 Spring Tennessee D1 & D2 State Championships. In the D1 competition, the 03 Lady LOBOS RUSH Premier won the U13 Girls flight while the 00 Lady LOBOS RUSH Premier (U17G) & the 98 Lady LOBOS RUSH Premier (U18G) were State Finalists. The 99 Lady LOBOS RUSH Premier took third place in the U17G flight. These four teams will be eligible to advance to USYS Regionals. In the D2 event, the 04 Lady LOBOS RUSH White won the U12 Girls flight while the 99 Lady LOBOS RUSH Elite took home the silver in the U17G flight. Three LOBOS RUSH players took top honors at the annual Pepsi-Commercial Appeal Best of the Preps banquet Friday, June 10th at the Germantown Performing Arts Center. Peyton McKnatt (98 LOBOS RUSH Premier) took top honors in Boys HS Soccer while Alyssa Neuberger (98 Lady LOBOS RUSH Premier) won at Girls HS Soccer as well as top Female Private School Athlete & top Female Private School Scholar Athlete. In addition, Jackson Bentley (98 LOBOS RUSH Premier) took Suburban Scholar Athlete of the Year.

A record thirty three players, and all five Finalists, named to 2016 Spring Commercial Appeal's - Pepsi "Best of Preps" Boys High School Soccer teams are LOBOS RUSH players.
