Collierville Soccer will begin professional level soccer instruction to Collierville Schools. The rollout of soccer specific training will begin with K-5 students at Bailey Station & Sycamore elementary schools and will expand to the three remaining elementary schools thereafter. The long term vision is to provide first class soccer programming through Elementary, Middle & High School. Julia Osmond and David McAlister, CSA Lobos Rush Assistant Directors of Coaching, have worked closely with Collierville School officials to structure the program and ensure it complements the PE curriculum. Collierville Soccer is the official soccer service provider to the Town of Collierville and this new program reinforces the commitment to developing soccer in the Collierville community. Collierville Soccer just completed a donation drive to help the Memphis Boys & Girls Club. Longtime REC coach and U10 REC Commissioner Tony Mitchell provided superb leadership enabling CSA to gather enough soccer cleats, uniforms, balls and shin guards to outfit over 100 kids. B&GCM Executive Director Keith Blanchard was absolutely thrilled to receive this gear that allows them to expand their out-reach program to include soccer. The inclusion of soccer is ideal due to the growing number of Hispanic kids in the Memphis area. In addition to Tony's efforts, a big thanks goes out to Colleen & Britt Balkcom, Amy Chestnut, Phillip May, Ellen Haynes, Maeve and Joan Mitchell for their assistance in this program.

Beginning Fall 2016, CSA is creating a "Youth Coaching Academy" (YCA) program to provide training and part-time employment opportunities for players to stay involved in the game through coaching. YCA participants must attend mandatory initial training and will receive on the job training and mentoring from Club Directors and senior Lobos Rush Coaching staff. After initial training, participants can sign up for coaching shifts within our REC and Instructional REC player development programs, typically during weekend hours. General Requirements: Current High School Junior, Senior or recent graduate, previous playing experience and a recommendation from previous/current coach is a plus. Participants must pass a TSSA background check. Licensing Requirements: State F license or higher (available online in a FREE 2- hour course) and complete local, free in-house curriculum training sessions over the summer and pass post training field test. YCA participants will be chosen via an interview process where they must demonstrate the appropriate communication skills and desire to learn & coach. Once selected to the program, participants must attend all scheduled in house training before being added to the coaching pool. For more information, email Dave Simms, davesimms@colsoc.com To register your interest in participating in this program, click on
