The 94 Lady LOBOS Blue and the 95 Lady LOBOS Blue are competing, for the second straight year, in the 2011-2012 Region III U18G Premier League's Central Division (R3PL-C). Games are hosted around the Southeast this winter and spring. The league pits elite Division 1 teams from Tennessee, Louisianna, Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas. The top team in the league advances to USYS Regionals in Greenville, SC in June 2012. The #1 seed in the Tennessee D1 State Cup also goes to the TN highest finisher regardless of standings. Four Lady LOBOS teams went undefeated in LRFC's "2012 Showcase of the South" on Jan. 21-22nd. The 94 Lady LOBOS Blue (U18 Girls Blue), 94 Lady LOBOS Black (U18 Girls Red), 96 Lady LOBOS Blue (U16 Girls Blue) & 97 Lady LOBOS Blue (U15 Girls Red) did not lose a game over the weekend. A record three Lady LOBOS were named to the 2011 NSCAA High School Girls Scholar All-American team. Abby Morton, Majorie Taylor Smith and Shelby Sokol, all of Collierville High, were selected based on both their athletic prowess and their academic records. Also, in yet another record, three Lady LOBOS were named to the 2011 NSCAA High School Girls Region III (All-South) team. Bethany Bunker (St. Agnes), Olivia Harrison (Houston) and Gracie Irby (Germantown) were selected to the Region III team encompassing a twelve state area. Additionally, two LOBOS coaches, Brooks Monaghan, Head Coach of the Univ. of Memphis Lady Tigers, and Clint Browne, Christian Brothers Univ. Men's Soccer Head Coach, were recognized as the NCAA Coaches of the Year in Women's NCAA Div. I (Central) & Men's NCAA Div. II (South) respectively. Lastly, Olivia Harrison was selected as the Tennessee Girls High School Player of the Year for the second straight year as well as being honored as a two-time High School All-American. The NSCAA is the largest soccer coaches' organization in the world and the preeminant soccer organization in the U.S. These are the most awards granted, in a single year, to Memphis-area players & coaches in history. Tennessee Lady Vol sophomore and former 92 Lady LOBOS player Caroline Capocaccia has been named to the 2011 Southeastern Conference Community Service Team. The Memphis, TN native has been involved with a host of community service projects including making numerous trips to the Knoxville Children's Hospital to visit with kids and their families, wrapping and distributing toys as part of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes "Toys for Tots" program for underprivileged children and working at food drives to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank. On the pitch in 2011, Capocaccia played in the UT back line in a career-high 19 matches with 16 starts and was a key contributor for the Tennessee's defense.
